April 24, 2024: We've updated our Warzone system requirements guide with all the intel on the minimum and recommended specs.

The Warzone system requirements are important to know if you plan on dropping into the action. Warzone needs some powerful hardware to run smoothly and if you're looking to play, making sure your system can run the game is essential intel.

Call of Duty developers are often introducing ways to optimize the game even further alongside introducing a wealth of new content ranging from the MORS sniper rifle to the BAL-27 which is bound to influence our weapon tier list.

In this guide, find all of the Warzone system requirements including the minimum, recommended, and competitive specs.

Warzone System Requirements

These system requirements act as a baseline that allow you to see whether your system can run Warzone smoothly. Here are the minimum and recommended specs:

Warzone Minimum Specs

  • OS: Windows 10 64 Bit (latest update)
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 / Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Hi-Rez Assets Cache: Up to 32 GB
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470
  • Video Memory: 2 GB

Having a similar build similar to what Activision recommends will allow you to run Warzone on its minimum settings. Although the graphics won't look the best, your frames per second (FPS) will be high, giving you smooth performance over the course of a match.

If you're lucky enough to have a high-end PC packed with a powerful processor and graphics card, you'll want to extract the most performance. The Warzone recommended settings will allow you to increase the graphics while maintaining a steady FPS. Here's what Activision recommends:

  • OS: Windows 10 64 Bit (latest update) or Windows 11 64 Bit (latest update)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K / Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
  • RAM: 12 GB
  • Hi-Rez Assets Cache: Up to 32 GB
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580
  • Video Memory: 4 GB

Best Warzone Competitive Settings

Looking to compete in high-stakes Warzone tournaments? These settings will guarantee a high frame rate to complement any monitors armed with a high refresh rate.

  • OS: Windows 10 64 Bit (latest update) or Windows 11 64 Bit (latest update)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Hi-Rez Assets Cache: Up to 32 GB
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5700XT
  • Video Memory: 8 GB

Does Warzone Have Ray Tracing?

Warzone does feature ray tracing in Warzone pre-game lobbies. Once a game begins, there is no way to switch on ray tracing for enhanced graphical quality.

If you're after a competitive edge, it's best to have it switched off in case it influences the frame rate.
